Breast Augmentation is a highly individualized and personal procedure undertaken by women who are dissatisfied with their body image because of a breast size not in harmony with their figure.

Breast Augmentation enlarges your breast by placing implants behind your breast tissue, resulting in a fuller, natural appearing breast in harmony with your body. Ideally the procedure is used to enlarge a naturally small breast or to restore volume to your breast that was lost during pregnancy or weight loss. Although the surgery will make your breast fuller, it will not correct sagging.

The surgery is performed in an accredited ambulatory surgery center under general anesthesia.

There are choices to consider involving incision sites, implant location, and implant size and type, either silicone gel or saline. I will fully discuss the relative advantages and disadvantages of all of these options in detail during your consultation.

The day of surgery you will have a light dressing on that is removed the next day, allowing showering. Pain can be controlled with oral medications. Most women can return to work within a week and light exercise after two weeks. The majority of swelling from surgery abates in 2 to 3 weeks, although it will take several months to see your final results.
