Juvederm is manufactured by Allergan, the makers of Botox Cosmetic. It is an injectable gel that is used to restore fullness to lips, minimize nasolabial folds (the lines that run from your nose to the corner of your mouth), reduce or eliminate the marionette lines (the lines that run from your mouth corners down to your chin). The product typically lasts 9 to 12 months. You will see the immediate results following your treatment. Initially you may feel some firmness in the treated area. This will slowly go away within one to two weeks. As with any injectable treatment there is always the possibility of developing a small bruise. If bruising does occur it will usually resolve with one to two weeks.
